Managing Your Barbers
Adding a Barber to Your Shop
You can assign existing Barberslot users with the "Customer" role to become Barbers within your specific shop.
- Navigate to the "Manage Barbers" page in your dashboard.
- Click the "Add New Barber" button. A dialog box will appear.
- You need the User ID of the person you want to add. This is a unique number assigned to every user on the Barberslot platform.
- You might need to ask the user for their ID, or if you have Platform Admin access, you can find it in the main user list.
- Enter the User ID into the input field.
- Click "Add Barber".
- If the User ID is valid and the user is not already assigned to another shop or an admin, they will be added to your shop list with the "Barber" role.
- Newly added barbers will automatically receive a default weekly availability schedule (Monday to Sunday, 09:00 - 20:00). They can then log in to customize their availability and offered services.
Removing a Barber from Your Shop
If a barber no longer works at your shop, you can remove their association.
- Go to the "Manage Barbers" page.
- Find the barber you want to remove in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu () at the end of the barber's row.
- Select "Remove from Shop".
- Confirm the action in the dialog box.
- The barber will be unassigned from your shop. Their platform account will still exist (likely reverting to a Customer role if they have no other assignments), but they will no longer appear in your shop's booking options or have access to shop-specific barber features.
- Any future appointments booked with this barber *before* removal will likely remain assigned to them unless manually reassigned or cancelled.
